St. Michael's RC School is a successful, popular, over-subscribed specialist school for Science and Applied Learning.
At St. Michael's every child is important, and all are encouraged and supported as we help them to achieve their full potential. We are committed to the education of the whole person within a caring environment.
At the centre of our school are Gospel values, such as service, justice, forgiveness, hope, charity, love and a commitment to community. We provide an education which is underpinned by faith and encourages each individual to develop their own gifts and talents. Throughout our school's history we have also benefited from the loyal support of parents and a group of committed Governors.
St. Michael's has been a specialist Science school since September 2003 and, having been recognised as a High Performing Specialist School, added a second specialism of Applied Learning in April 2008. We believe that this combination, together with our many strengths in other subjects, helps us to offer a broad and appropriate curriculum for all students. In addition, it helps us to continue to improve standards and to provide all students with a variety of learning experiences.
